I added a Xoom page with button links for present and future clients. The page is not in the header links but the url is relatively easy to find and the built in search option should bring up the page in search queries for Xoom.
There are links with titles such as:
- User Experience Architecture with a Focus on increasing Brand/Product Awareness:
- User Experience Architecture with a Focus on Interaction Design:
- User Experience Architecture with a Focus on Easier Content and/or Product Navigation
As one can see, I've currently focused my efforts on 3 areas:
- Marketing and Branding for well established entities that wish to have a website that creates positive impression of the brand and/or product for site visitors
- Interaction Design for web applications
- Website Navigation and Information Dissemination for information portals and possibly social networks
Each of the 3 require a different layout, even the header of the website if not laid out correctly could lead to users receiving the wrong impression of what the website should be about.
One hint is that my theme is best suited for single user generated content, navigation oriented website as it has the primary menu above the header logo thereby providing a subliminal message to visitors that theres more to see on the site and the site is not emphasizing brand recognition over finding internal content.
I'll be contributing themes to Drupal with layouts optimized for branding oriented websites and social networks when time is available.
While the location of the header elements of a website is important for users to identify the objectives of a site, the location of the sidebars and organization of a sidebar's internal content play a large role in what content gets found first.
