Usability Testing Labs in Kerala

There seems to be no Usability Testing Labs in Kerala.

I have seen that National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad has a testing lab set up by a company called Netkraft in Bangalore but Netkraft has been bought up by Adea in 2004 and no longer exists.

I sure hope National Institute of Design in Bangalore has a usability lab set up or in the process of being set up and available for use by usability firms. Wire frames to improve the usability of a current website can be built without having usability test reports as a reference but the improvements just would not be as effective and limited to the views of the designer and client who would not always be able to address the needs of the end user of the product.

Without enough Usability Testing Labs in India, no matter how capable the designers or Usability analysts in India are, their capabilities would ultimately be limited unless they work for larger enterprises who can provide the resources for setting up usability testing centers.

What about small to medium sized firms or website owners wishing to run a few light tests on their product before they launch it to the public? Hiring larger usability firms with their own usability labs could easily break their budget.

For User Experience Design to prosper in India, usability labs would need to be set up and maintained in every major city in India. I have yet to see an academic course in India that specializes in User Experience or Website Usability and even if a course was available, the lack of a Usability Testing Lab would mean an incomplete education.

The web industry as a whole would not thrive without usability testing labs to support domestically produced websites or software products.

Edit:
Here's a map of Usability Testing Labs:

While http://stevejbayer.com and http://stevebayer.net both have a google page rank of 4, I'm mothballing and pulling content from there over to http://stevejbayer.com since stevejbayer.com has a lot more visitors than stevebayer.net

Exercising my theming skills, I've transformed http://stevejbayer.com/resources into a replica of its stevebayer.net counterpart. That's right, I got the pushbutton theme to work on just one page of the site thanks to http://drupal.org/node/139766 while the remaining pages share a different theme. There was a bit of sidebar juggling involved as the theme in use right now (Barron) has the left sidebar as the default sidebar but displays it on the right. A bit of switching php calls and td (gasp a drupal core theme uses tables?)
