In a guest article for the Harvard Business Review, Tim Brown states that Edison implemented Design Thinking while inventing the light bulb.
Tim Brown also states that implementing design during the end stages of development cycle is a tactical use of design and at best "and results in limited value creation" compared to strategically implementing design at the earlier stages of development where design thinking processes can generate the most value.

Shades of Gray: Thoughs on Sketching by Will Evans is a worthwhile read to understand the role of sketches and wireframes in the software and web design process.
I use an A4/Letter size (or larger) sketch pad to illustrate interfaces and note down thoughts while brain storming interface and communication/interaction solutions before I start producing digitally created wire frames.

My Mum's side of the family has the Meyn surname. The known family history is that a Dutch Naval Captain decided to settle down (with his wife) in Cochin in the 1600s.
Unfortunately, most of the history after the arrival of a Captain Meyn in Cochin (and the family history before that) seems to have been bottled up and buried.

I've enabled disqus comments for blogs. Certain advances on the disqus commenting platform cemented my decision to enable disqus for blog comments.
The ability for disqus users to like comments and the ability to track commenters across multiple sites makes commenting (both reading and writing) a more interesting and socially interactive activity.
