The following link contains a tutorial on how to build a website in Illustrator:
http://aiburn.com/article/building_a_website_wireframe_in_illustrator
While I personally use Visio, the above tutorial shows its possible to produce a wire frame in Illustrator as well. While illustrator allows for a higher quality representation of icons, and images, Visio does provide multi-page support and so is an advantage when multiple screens for the same application are needed.
Edit:
One advantage Visio has is that it less demanding on the horizontal width of monitors. Most adobe products be they illustrator, fireworks or photoshop use up a considerable amount of screen estate for the right toolbar and that can be a hindrance for wire frames with their user specifications on the right. >>> Read More
While http://stevejbayer.com and http://stevebayer.net both have a google page rank of 4, I'm mothballing and pulling content from there over to http://stevejbayer.com since stevejbayer.com has a lot more visitors than stevebayer.net
Exercising my theming skills, I've transformed http://stevejbayer.com/resources into a replica of its stevebayer.net counterpart. That's right, I got the pushbutton theme to work on just one page of the site thanks to http://drupal.org/node/139766 while the remaining pages share a different theme. There was a bit of sidebar juggling involved as the theme in use right now (Barron) has the left sidebar as the default sidebar but displays it on the right. A bit of switching php calls and td (gasp a drupal core theme uses tables?) >>> Read More
I'd like to think of my work as an interaction designer (IXD) as designing user interaction flows/sequences with the functional features of software products (web applications) that run on a website.
I'm a tad bit shy of calling myself an Information Architect (IA) as I don't really look forward to designing the information placement (content layout across multiple web pages) and information design of larger websites as much as I look forward to designing easier to use web applications on a website. >>> Read More

Sounds like Google really is going to release its own Browser called Google Chrome.
Based on the Web Comic, it seems it could accomplish what Flock set out to achieve with the addition of improved Java script performance (Firefox 3.1 is due out year end with the promise of faster Java script rendering as well.) >>> Read More

dmitrig01 released a newer iteration of the VErtical Node forms mock up with the addition of summaries in the tab.
Joakim Staie/Ximo gets kudos for getting the first stable version which was used in the usability testing by Interaction Design and Information Architecture program. The video of the usabiility test using vertically tabbed node forms can be seen on: http://buytaert.net/usability-usability-and-usability
I've been bus for the past few months with Drupal theming and haven't visited ixda.org in a while.
While browsing through ixda.org's discussions, I came across:
http://google.com/insights/search/#cat=&q=interaction%20design
Which led me to checking out search statistics for 'Interaction Design' in India:
http://google.com/insights/search/#cat&q=interaction+design&geo=IN
Bangalore's at the top of the list followed by Mumbai, Chennai and then Delhi for states that have entered 'Interaction Design' while searching on google and I'm in neither one of those cities.
http://thinkdynamik.com has a well defined outline on a quick and seam free process for prototyping a website before passing the same on to a engineering and graphics design theme.

The quotes below are from Don Norman’s article: Design Thinking: A Useful myth …more important, and more legitimate reason to embrace the term “design thinking.” It positions design in a unique way, forcing companies to view design differently than before. The emphasis on “thinking” makes the point that design is more than a pretty face: [...]
