site building

While looking around irc for site building support for http://indiandrupal.com, I got into a conversation about reworking Drupal's Admin system. Wordpress and Joomla seemed much more easy to get started with than Drupal although sticking Drupal leads to a lot more than Wordpress or Joomla have to offer.

One thing led to another and then we started off the following thread about reworking Drupal's Core Administration Interface: http://drupal.org/node/211075

Its about time I brought in my User Experience Architecture Skills into Drupal.org.

are groups I've joined regarding usability on drupal.org The coming days and weeks would tell how far my involvement in Drupal's User Experience would be.

My last webhost gave me a WHM account with unlimited CPanel accounts. My first gave me only five which could host just one domain each.

The best part about separate CPanel accounts is that it separates domains more cleanly than using add on domains.

For example. if i have an addon domain called add and a domain called base,I would be able to access add using add.base.com or base.com/add

Adding a subdomain to that addon can be quite tricky

Users who reached stevejbayer.com on my new host would have got a access denied. That happened during the file transfer from my old host to the new host.

The new host runs the latest version of php which is 5.2.1 (as of the date of the site transfer) and there have been issues with transferring drupal from servers with the older version of php to servers with the newer version of php.
